Using Netscape 6.x to Retrieve and Send Email

After downloading and installing Netscape 6.x, open the Netscape program. Along the top of the screen, click on TASKS, then on MAIL. In the window that opens, click on EDIT, then on MAIL/NEWS ACCOUNT SETTINGS. Click on the NEW ACCOUNT button, then follow the instructions on the screen. (If you are setting up the first account, the ACCOUNT SETTINGS window will open automatically.) Be sure to enter your Internet Frontier email address. The correct incoming server to use is "pop.ifn.net" (omit quotes).

The final setup step is to click on OUTGOING (SMTP) SERVER along the left side of the ACCOUNT SETTINGS window. Enter "smtp.ifn.net" (again, omit quotes) as the server name.

Be sure to click OK as you exit the configuration window.
