Using Netscape 7.x to Retrieve and
Send
Email
After downloading and installing Netscape 7.x, open the Netscape program.
Along the top of the screen, click on WINDOW, then on MAIL AND NEWSGROUPS. In the window
that opens, click on EDIT, then on MAIL AND NEWSGROUP ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
Click on the ADD ACCOUNT button, then follow the instructions on the screen.
(If you are setting up the first account, the ADD ACCOUNT window will
open automatically.)
Be sure to enter your Internet Frontier
email address. The correct incoming server to use is "pop.ifn.net" (omit
quotes).
The final setup step is to click on OUTGOING (SMTP) SERVER along the left side
of the ACCOUNT SETTINGS window. Enter "smtp.ifn.net" (again, omit quotes) as
the server name.
Be sure to click OK as you exit the configuration window.
